This Ranking system is for the N.W.O. and Battlegrounds. All other rooms at Psyberghost.com are exempt from these rules and are under no obligations to follow them.
Many of you have expressed concern over the current ranking system so we, the Primes of the N.W.O., along with the assistance of a few outside specialists in this area, have devised a new ranking system. Time is no longer the only factor in the N.W.O. As you can see, earning Ranks will be hard to get but once achieved will not be stripped away unless one commits a high crime or treason. Ranks are done approximately once every 2-4 months.
Delta: To become a Delta one must take a whole 5 seconds out of their day to register a name in the Battlegrounds.
Charlie: In order to achieve the rank of Charlie one must be a frequent chatter in the Battlegrounds. Frequent is not a very exact term so to better define it, spend at least 4-8 hours a week in the chat room. This time is used to get to know those around you. By the time you achieve the rank of Charlie you should know all of the rules and customs of the Battlegrounds as well as the N.W.O.
Beta: In order for a Charlie to become a Beta, one must go out to new chat rooms, find new people and introduce them to the N.W.O. and Battlegrounds. If you get 10 people to come and chat frequently, at the new promotion period you will be promoted to Beta. Be forewarned that those who attempt to deceive, through setting up false names or have their new members suddenly vanish once new rank is achieved, will be stripped of the newly gained title and dropped back down to Delta to start over again.
Alpha: To become Alpha one must have been a regular chatter in BG for at least 6 months, which should not be hard if you are going through the ranks as you should. When the time has come for a Beta to become an Alpha, they must have a patron (an existing Admin of any rank) to support the chatter. The patron is responsible for the new Alpha for one month in which during this time the patron will receive the punishments the new Alpha would have to bear. So Admins, choose your new Alphas carefully. New Alphas are to be educated on how to deal with problem chatters and any secrets the admin has found over the time. They are to be sort of like a mentor.
Security: Security is quite possibly the highest rank most chatters can achieve. Minimum time required to achieve the rank of Security is one year of regular chatting, as well as close association with a Prime. Security deal little in the ways of solving disputes. They are tired of the bullshit and now serve as the chat room extension of their Prime. Most Primes find they do not have the time anymore to keep up with the chat rooms so the Security keeps tabs on who’s who and what's going on (who is causing problems and the details of the situation). Security are expected to be unbiased toward either party involved. Security have the responsibility of Alpha if there are no other Alphas in the room. Everyone is expected to obey a Security rank at all times. A Security can override the Alphas if necessary. Security are to take their position very seriously and should know how to copy and paste information for future use. Only a Prime can override a security. If two Security clash, they are to seek the nearest Prime a.s.a.p. for assistance in the matter. At no time are Security to fight in open chat. Take it to ICQ or another private messaging service.
PRIME: Prime have the responsibility of leading the N.W.O. as a whole, maintaining the site, protecting the site from hackers. This is the basic job of the Prime. Each individual Prime chooses an area of expertise before becoming a Prime. There are only a total of 15 prime positions so the rank of Prime shows almost perfection in one's area of specialization. Various areas include: Site Management (banners, icons and such), Information Gathering, "Security", and, for Alpha Prime, Leadership and the final word in all decisions made for the site. The Primes sit as equals with the Alpha Prime as the first among equals. Primes are chosen from the best the N.W.O. has to offer, usually from Security, but Alphas are not uncommon as well if they have adapted quickly to their new responsibilities. There is no Prime who has not been in the N.W.O. for at least two years. In order to become a Prime there has to be a vacant position, which is very rare considering Primes are often the elder members of the N.W.O. They plan on being around for a while. Primes can, and do, retire from their positions either from simply stepping down to let a more qualified member take their place or simply not wanting the responsibility it entails. Another requirement is that in order to become a Prime the existing Primes vote in a council meeting to which at least half must support the new addition. Except in cases where the Alpha Prime votes against the addition, then there is no vote. If Alpha Prime is the position being vied for, the Primes themselves can become candidates for the position. Primes are not to fight in open chat. It is undignified for leaders to act so petty in front of the other members.
Webmaster: Webmaster is an appointed position made by the Alpha Prime himself. The Webmaster has almost uncontested power in the site itself, but must still treat the Primes with respect and courtesy. As with Security, the Webmaster is not to fight openly with Primes in chat, but to take it to ICQ or other messaging services where it can be talked out. All Webmasters must have site experience in HTML or other Internet languages and a good imagination to keep the site looking interesting and running efficiently.
Assistant Webmasters: They are chosen by the Webmaster with the Alpha Prime's approval. They must fulfill the minimal requirements of the Webmaster and show at least some potential as useful parts of the site. They are to be treated as equivalent to the rank of Beta or their previous rank if it was higher.
